The Stadtbad Oderberger was designed in 1898 by the architect Ludwig Hoffmann to supply the then rapidly growing Prenzlauer Berg district with public facilities. In 1986 the bathroom had to close due to cracks in the pool, since then no one has been swimming here.
The renovation of the listed building began in 2012, and the Hotel Oderberger Berlin with 70 hotel rooms has been open since January 2016. In the swimming pool you can swim again after 25 years, but you can also dance or meet on the water.
The cathedral-like main hall can be used for all kinds of celebrations thanks to a special lifting floor that can be raised to the level of the pool surround if necessary.
