In the Wellenwerk, the first and only artificial surf wave in the capital is surfed. With a lifestyle restaurant, surf store, mixology bar, motorcycle factory, beer garden and surfboard workshop, a new hotspot is being created just ten minutes away from Alexanderplatz.
On more than 1000qm indoor as well as outdoor events of different formats can be realized.
During the construction of the Wellenwerk, great importance was attached to sustainability and environmental friendliness. Instead of a completely new building, an old warehouse was converted. For the additional extension, in which the restaurant and reception are located, mainly wood was used, as it is a renewable raw material and permanently binds CO2. Furthermore, the entire wave factory is operated with CO2-neutral green electricity, which comes from water power. Furthermore, a large part of the energy used for the wave is recovered by an innovative heat recovery system, for example to heat our premises and the service water.
