What happens when culinary art meets the best innovations of the home improvement and garden center industry? This question was impressively answered on June 15 in the Arena Berlin. The Global DIY Summit showcased visionary developments in the retail sector, while Berlin Cuisine provided remarkable culinary highlights.
850 guests were welcomed at the beautiful outdoor location Badeschiff Berlin with a diverse selection of finger food in a flying menu: Roasted sunflower roots were served on sunflowers with sunflower seed cream and garden herb emulsion as part of our Sustainable Pleasure concept. Young carrots, accented with tahini yogurt cream, and risotto balls with saffron mayonnaise offered a light start to the evening.
As the sun set and we moved to the adjacent arena, the official event began, and with it the gala dinner: Crusty bread with rouille butter, atriple tomatoes as the first course and an Argentine beef fillet that will be remembered for its excellence. And the crowning finale? Sustainable Pleasure highlight – our hollowed grapefruit with coconut espuma on raspberry jelly topped with Peta Zeta (aka pop rocks). This dessert combines sweetness, acidity, sustainability, and maximum surprise just perfectly together.
