The Kinderschutzengel e.V. children's gala is one of the events that is particularly close to our hearts every year. For over two decades, the association has been supporting families with seriously or chronically ill and disabled children, creating spaces where joy and lightheartedness can flourish once again. At Spindler & Klatt, we were once again able to support this special mission with our culinary expertise – on a voluntary basis and with great commitment.
For the children and their families, we developed a flying menu that hits exactly what children look forward to most: pizza, burgers, and something sweet to finish. Margherita pizza with fior di latte, small beef burgers and plant-based alternatives, our Berlin No Currywurst with potato chips, plus live-baked waffles on a stick and a moist brownie with caramelized walnuts. A menu that remains uncomplicated and immediately creates a sense of closeness.
Prominent supporters joined forces with the team at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski to provide the service and made the evening at Spindler & Klatt an experience that will linger long in the memories of many of the children.
This year, Berlin Cuisine was also honored with one of the two Kinderschutzengel Awards, which Nina Jensen accepted on behalf of the organization. We are delighted to receive this special recognition, which once again confirms our commitment to the association.
We look back with gratitude on an evening full of warmth, energy, and children's shining eyes. Many thanks to the entire team at Kinderschutzengel e.V. – we are already looking forward to next year.
