Building on what proved successful last year, the VANDA Pharmaceuticals BERLIN TENNIS OPEN took this concept a step further: In addition to the established hospitality areas on the historic grounds of the LTTC “Rot-Weiß” e.V. in Berlin’s Grunewald neighborhood, this year we were also responsible for large parts of the food and beverage offerings in the public area for the first time. The result was a comprehensive catering concept for guests, partners, media representatives, athletes, and visitors alike.
Once again, our Culinary Market became the culinary centerpiece of the tournament. With the six food stations - Green Corner, Heimath, Aromatica, PAN ASIA, Delight, and the OFYR Grillhouse, we brought together regional classics, international influences, and modern live-cooking concepts under one roof.
Aromatica served up Mediterranean cuisine with freshly topped focaccias and rotating pasta dishes. At Heimath, the focus was on regional specialties such as Berlin-style veal meatballs with truffle dressing and a modern take on “Berliner Luft.” PAN ASIA, in collaboration with Sticks’n’Sushi, added international flair—with sushi, nigiri, and maki freshly prepared daily, as well as specialties from the yakitori grill. At the OFYR Grillhouse, open flames met Levantine flavors, while the Green Corner served seasonal classics centered around Beelitz asparagus.
Delight provided a sweet finale with exquisite pastries. The “Tennis Ball 2.0” was a particular hit—a crunchy tennis ball filled with a liquid filling of strawberry, mint, and crème pâtissière, which was a perfect fit for the tournament both visually and in terms of flavor.
For the first time, we were also responsible for large parts of the food and beverage offerings in the public area. Freshly baked pizzas from the Pizza Ape, homemade pasta from the Airstream, burgers, poké bowls, fries with various sauces, and grilled specialties from our Giant Grill provided culinary delights throughout the entire venue. The offerings were complemented by cakes and tarts from our Best Patisserie, as well as waffles and soft-serve ice cream from the Soft Ice Ape.
Our goal was to ensure that guests experienced the same quality, hospitality, and attention to detail in every area—regardless of whether they were enjoying the exclusive atmosphere in the VIP area, preparing for the next match in the Player’s Lounge, working in the Media Center, or watching the tournament as visitors on the grounds.
The result was bustling food stations, happy faces, and satisfied guests.
Our thanks go to Perfect Match GmbH for the successful kickoff, to the Berlin Tennis Open team led by Tournament Director Markus Zöcke, to Bastian zur Brügge from NOHO GmbH for the trusting collaboration—and, of course, to our team, which delivered with precision, charm, and passion. We’re looking forward to the next match.
