Three days, three departments, 650 guests: we designed a cinematic food concept for an internal Telefónica event. The event ultimately took place in the Metropolis Hall in Potsdam-Babelsberg. The name was chosen in reference to the classic film Metropolis, which was shot in the Babelsberg film studios - and so we were able to integrate the film idea into our menu.
Among other things, there were “movie star” burgers, a “camera down” pasta station, the “and action!” beef station and, as a midnight snack, the “final edits” with Berlin currywurst, also in a tofu version. Each station told its own scene.
During the three days, we served starters such as roast beef salad with tartar sauce or tabouleh with almonds and pomegranate in a jar. The Caesar salad was served live in a Parmesan wheel, while the vegan alternative consisted of fresh Thai salad with coconut vinaigrette. In addition to burgers, the main courses included lasagne à la Bolognese with green pesto, lasagne Fiorentina with spinach and tomato, succulent country chicken with pea cream, pasta with basil and truffle, Havel pike-perch with mashed potatoes and braised boiled veal with glazed carrots.
For dessert, we served chocolate mousse, yoghurt mousse with mango - and as a special highlight: Dragon Breath popcorn. Prepared live on site in liquid nitrogen, the popcorn freezes - and when eaten, the cold effect makes for steaming noses - just like a dragon. A very special moment.
Our thanks go to Telefónica and the agency Projektstark GmbH & Co. KG for their trust. Roll the movie!
