Soft ice cream, blue candy floss, freshly prepared popcorn - just a few of the highlights at this anniversary celebration: the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME) was founded in 1954 - and celebrated a big anniversary in 2024. More than 1000 guests came together to honor the historic event.
To mark the 70th birthday, there was a trip back to the 70s:
Our food concept picked up on the nostalgia and transformed it into the present. Berlin Cuisine presented classics in a modern style at various stations. Among other things, we served a new interpretation of ragout fin in puff pastry, potato salad with veal meatballs and chicken salad with mayonnaise, mandarin and white asparagus. There were also Königsberger meatballs, both classic and vegan, beef sauerbraten and its plant-based alternative with portobello mushrooms and even traditional mustard with potatoes and chives. For dessert, guests could choose between retro-style “cold dog”, peach melba and a soft ice cream station, while the blue cotton candy and freshly prepared popcorn provided additional accents.
Another highlight of the evening was an exclusive wine tasting led by sommelier Stefanie Lassalle, who delighted guests with a special selection of wines.
