As the official catering partner, we had the honor of providing culinary services for the German Film Awards 2026 for the fifth time. At the Palais am Funkturm, approximately 1,400 guests from the worlds of film, culture, politics, and media gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the German film industry. For this special evening, we developed a fully vegan food concept that combined regional influences, seasonal ingredients, and modern flavors.

Immediately after the awards ceremony, we welcomed guests at the exits with our Capital City Burger. Our CAPITAL CITY BURGER, featuring plant-based chicken, white cabbage, coleslaw, apple compote, Spreewald pickles, and roasted onion mayo, provided the perfect start to the evening’s culinary experience and quickly became a favorite among guests.

The concept continued with additional dishes at the food stations. The PASTA FINOCCHIO, featuring rigatoni, fresh tomato sauce, fennel, white beans, and celery, brought a touch of Mediterranean lightness to the plate. The MUSHROOM BURRITO with shredded king oyster mushrooms, chipotle cream, corn, and fresh lettuce added spicy accents, while the poke bowl with marinated sweet potato, fresh peas, kimchi, sesame seeds, sprouts, and horseradish cream combined freshness with aromatic depth. The BRANDENBURG BOWL, featuring wild broccoli, cucumbers, red quinoa, roasted almonds, and baby potatoes, provided a regional focus.

Among the evening’s special highlights were the confit PARSNIPs with savoy cabbage and parsley, accompanied by parsley cream, verjus beurre blanc, and pearl risotto. The dish impressively demonstrated how regional products can be translated into a modern, elegant interpretation.

Our dessert creations provided a sweet finale. The CROIFFLES—crispy croissant dough on a stick—were served with strawberry sauce and caramelized hazelnuts, offering a playful moment of indulgence. The NITRO BALL with blackberry, ruby chocolate, and raspberry crunch also drew special attention. The blackberry espuma, frozen live in liquid nitrogen, delighted guests with its exceptionally airy texture and surprising finale.

We would like to thank the German Film Academy, especially Managing Director Claudia Löwe, for their continued trust, as well as the agency BETTER DAY. for their collaborative partnership. It is a special pleasure for us to be part of an evening that celebrates the diversity and creativity of German film and brings together people from the worlds of culture, politics, and media.
