When we have international stars in town, it goes without saying that we also present something typically Berlin on request - with an innovative twist, of course. And so the midnight snack for the international guests of the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2024 was something very special: our vegetarian Berlin-style kebab with grilled celeriac and a vegan Berlin currywurst with potato chips.
Beforehand, we had the honor of attending the awards ceremony at the festive dinner. GQ honored outstanding personalities in the Orangery of Charlottenburg Palace: Acting legend Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”, “Fallout”) was honored as Icon of the Year, while Nicholas Hoult (“About a Boy”, “Mad Max: Fury Road”) received the title Actor of the Year. Artist and fashion icon Michèle Lamy was honored for her creative influence as Art Icon of the Year.
Our menu for the festive dinner: Yellow & Red Beet, an elegant combination of yellow beet, mizuna salad and beet cream; Portobello, sautéed mushrooms with marinated spinach and truffle puree; for dessert we served Dôme au Chocolat, a chocolate dessert with cherries and white chocolate crumble.
